We are recruiting for a Senior Lead, Healthcare Provider Education.
This new role represents an exciting opportunity to have a big impact on the caregiver experience in Ontario by building the knowledge and skills of health care professionals so that caregivers are recognized, included, and supported at point of care.
Caregivers play a critical role in the healthcare system but are rarely included in education curricula and professional development. Senior Lead, Healthcare Provider Education will develop and implement strategies that increase OCO’s reach of health care providers, drive behaviour and practice change, and leverage partnerships to deliver healthcare provider education in an efficient and effective way.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Lead, Strategic Partnerships and Innovation, the Senior Lead, Healthcare Provider Education will:
- Increase the number of health care providers reached through caregiver-centred education that is delivered online and in-person through OCO and partnered channels.
- Work with health system partners, healthcare providers, and caregivers to co-develop provider education content, curriculum, and resources for a diverse range of health care professions, sectors, and settings.
- Lead planning and implementation of provider education initiatives, with a strong focus on sustainable, scalable partnered opportunities that have the potential to reach large numbers within priority target groups.
- Identify, analyze, and make recommendations on new education opportunities that will deliver upstream and continuing education to health care professionals that interact directly with caregivers at point of care.
- Develop and manage infrastructure/platforms required to enable sharing of OCO’s education content and resources for healthcare providers.
- Develop and manage multi-stakeholder project plans with measurable goals and timelines.
- Ensure delivery of goals on time and on budget, mitigating risks as required.
- Facilitate meetings and working groups to co-design/co-develop new initiatives with caregivers, partner organizations, and other OCO staff teams.
- Deliver presentations and education sessions to system partners and healthcare providers.
- Act as OCO’s internal subject matter expert on adult and professional education principles and support provider education activities delivered through other members of the OCO staff team.
- Work in collaboration with the Communications team to develop and implement strategies to expand awareness and uptake of OCO’s healthcare provider education offerings.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of reporting requirements.
- Lead evaluation and data collection to assess impact, outcomes, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience, including adult/professional education (ideally for healthcare providers) and project management
- Strong understanding of learning science principles, curriculum design, co-design, contemporary professional education approaches and modalities (including online and in-person) and current technologies that help deliver education including learning management systems
- Experience working within the health care, social services, and/or non-profit sector and knowledge of the Ontario health care system and how it is evolving
- Ability to develop and manage detailed operational plans with clear goals and timelines
- Excel at facilitation of meetings, workshops, focus groups, and presentations
- Goal-oriented, with a track record of delivering measurable impact and results
- Self-starter and innovative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- High comfort level and confidence working with a diverse range of communities, stakeholders, and decision-makers
- Ability to navigate from strategic thinking to tactical implementation
- Work experience involving the engagement of people with lived experience, ideally including co-design of initiatives or resources, is an asset
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven adaptability and positivity in a growing, fast-paced environments
- Ability to foster relationships with professionalism, diplomacy and trust
- Knowledge of caregiver needs, the role of caregivers in the health system and/or experience as a caregiver is an asset
- Strong technical ability and proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications, in particular Microsoft Office, Dynamics 365, Survey Monkey, Zoom
- Ability to speak and write in French is an asset
- Ability for occasional work after hours or on weekends to accommodate pre-arranged meetings or events
Education
Completion of a relevant post-secondary degree. Masters in Education strongly preferred.
