Movement Minds & Magic

Movement Minds & Magic with Jennifer Hicks and Robin Gertin

Movement, Minds & Magic is a brand-new program that combines the benefits of physical and cognitive exercise, socializing and expressive arts. This program is co-facilitated by Jenn Hicks (a Certified Personal Trainer) and Robin Gertin (a Certified Expressive Arts Therapist) who have over 20 years collective experience working with seniors and those living with dementia.

Healthy seniors, individuals living with mild-cognitive impairment or dementia, and caregivers are all welcome to attend this free, 8-week series at Providence’s Scotiabank Learning Centre (B-156).

The program includes:
• 45 minutes of creative physical activity (with both seated and standing options),
• A refreshment break to have a snack and socialize
• 45 minutes of social cognitive activity including conversation and an art-based activity that does not require any prior experience.

Mondays, September 11th – November 6th from 1:30 – 3:30. (Sept. 11th, 18th, 25th Oct. 2nd, skipping Thanksgiving on October 9th, Oct. 16th, 23rd, 30th, Nov. 6th)

This will be held at Providence located at 3276 St. Clair Ave. East, Scarborough, M1L 1W1
