What is the Disability Tax Credit? A Live Information Session and Q&A

July 9 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Free

This webinar will explain what the DTC is and how to make the best use of it, and includes a Q&A.

The Disability Tax Credit (DTC) is a non-refundable federal tax credit that can help reduce the amount of taxes owed by a person with a disability or someone who supports them. It is also a gateway benefit that gives access to other programs such as the Canada Disability Benefit and the Registered Disability Savings Plan.

There are many ways someone can qualify for the DTC, and we know that only about 16% of people who are eligible for this credit are receiving it.

In this webinar, you will explore:

• What the DTC is and whether you, or the person you care for, may qualify

• Eligibility criteria and tips for applying

• What to expect after you submit your application

• Other programs and benefits connected to the DTC

At the end of the webinar, there is a 15 -minute question and answer period with a DTC specialist.
