If you feel anxious and overwhelmed by your caregiving responsibilities, you’re not alone. We all face challenges on our caregiving journey. It’s normal. And that’s why at the Ontario Caregiver Organization, we offer you an opportunity to connect one-on-one with another caregiver.
Together with experienced caregivers, we created the 1:1 Peer Support Program. In three simple steps, you can speak directly with another caregiver, share your experiences and receive the emotional support that you need as you navigate this journey, together. Through phone calls with a caregiver volunteer Peer Mentor, you have the opportunity to connect with someone who “gets it”.
Register online today and get connected to the Peer Support Program Lead. The Program Lead will help you navigate the program, answer your questions, and provide you with access to our exclusive and confidential online 1:1 Peer Support portal.
Sign UpWith your own personal access to our exclusive and confidential portal of volunteer Peer Mentors, you’ll be able to view our available, experienced and trained volunteer Peer Mentors to learn more about them and choose the volunteer Peer Mentor who is right for you.
Once you’ve chosen the caregiver volunteer Peer Mentor who is right for you, our Peer Support Program Lead will connect you with them. You will receive a phone call directly from your new volunteer Peer Mentor. We’ll ensure you have the kind voice, the sounding board, and most importantly, the emotional support that you need.
