Peer Support

If you support someone in need and feel anxious and overwhelmed with your caregiving responsibilities, you’re not alone. We all face challenges on the caregiving journey.

As a caregiver, you take on many different tasks  ̶  providing emotional support, transportation, personal care, physical support, basic medical procedures, scheduling appointments, translating information, and managing financial and legal responsibilities. Tired, frustrated, anxious and overwhelmed, caregivers need support themselves.

Connect with others in a peer support group and share your caregiving experience, challenges and solutions. Call the Ontario Caregiver Helpline to find a peer support group near you.

Canadian Caregiver Network by Huddol is an online community for caregivers.

Big White Wall is an anonymous online mental health and wellbeing service offering community support, creative outlets, self-improvement tools and focused courses, free for all Ontarians.
