We will be offering the opportunity to participate in this exciting event in person or virtually. Opportunities are available to sponsor this event in person\, virtually or both. Welcoming and bringing together brain injury survivors\, family members\, health care service providers and legal professionals to learn\, to network and promote the quality of life of those affected by a brain injury.

In more challenging situations\, caregivers may also notice post-traumatic stress\ndisorder (PTSD) from their experiences. How can caregivers find support for their mental health? The OCO welcomes back Dr. Patrick McGrath to answer\nimportant questions that caregivers have shared with us.\n• Submit your question about mental health in advance\n• Gain useful tips and strategies on how to manage your mental health\n• Learn what services or tools are available to support your mental health needs \nNote: We encourage caregivers to share questions when filling out the Eventbrite registration. The OCO endeavors to answer as many questions as possible\, but some questions may not be answered due to time limitations. \nOur Speaker:\nDr. Patrick McGrath is a clinical psychologist and Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry at Dalhousie University and a scientist at the IWK Health Centre where his\nresearch is based. He is an Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa and founder and president of 90Second Health Letters. He frequently\ntreats caregivers with anxiety in his private practice.

DESCRIPTION:This support group is hosted by Providence Unity Health Toronto and is for those caring for spouse with Alzheimer’s Disease or a related Dementia. \nIt takes place the third Tuesday of every month – 9:30am – 11:30am. \nIt takes place in-person at the Scotiabank Learning Centre-Providence Healthcare\, 3276 St. Clair Avenue East\, Toronto (Room B156/157). \nPlease call 416-285-3666\, Ext. 4177 if you require any additional information. \nClients of Providence Healthcare’s Adult Day Program may attend the program while caregiver(s) participate in the support group.
