DESCRIPTION:A free 5-Week Virtual Workshop Series to make the caregiving experience safer and less stressful for you and the ones you care for.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\nThis Workshop Series is for people living in Lanark\, Leeds and Grenville Counties. \nPractical Caregiver Training will be offered by Zoom at 9-11am or 6-8pm on five consecutive Tuesdays from March 1 – 29\, 2022. Participants must commit to the same class time for all 5 weeks. Please see instructions for registering below. \nSubjects Covered: \n\nThe Role of the Caregiver\nCommunicating with loved ones and healthcare professionals\nLifts and Transfers and Body Mechanics\nProviding Personal Care\nMedication Management\nEnd of Life\nAdvance Care Planning and Grief\nSelf Care\n\nThis training is developed by the Champlain Hospice Palliative Care Program and sponsored by the South East Regional Palliative Care Network. DESCRIPTION:The Practical Caregiver Training for those looking after a loved one with a life limiting illness is back. It’s free and it’s virtual. Join us for 5 weeks of training on various topics from Advance Care Planning\, Providing Personal Care\, Medication Management\, Self Care\, What to Expect at the End of Life\, Navigating the system and more. This is a peer facilitated workshop led by a local team including a Caregiver\, Palliative Care Nurse and Physiotherapist. \nThis workshop series will be offered by Zoom on Tuesdays March 1 – 29\, 2022.
